Jake's New Smile!!!

I've been waiting for this day for a long time... To me there's nothing cuter than a toothless smile! When Jonathan lost his front teeth, they each came out at different times. By the time the 2nd one came out, his new adult tooth was coming in, so he never truly had a toothless smile. So... poor Jake! As soon as his first tooth fell out a week or so ago, I begged him to wiggle the other one out! Picture day at school is approaching so he has been under great pressure to get it out! The other day while he was in class, he wouldn't stop wiggling it. He had the "blood moustache" going on and it was hanging by a thread, so his teacher sent him to the bathroom to work on it for 5 minutes. Success! And then he got $5 for each top tooth. He's so excited to finally be losing teeth! For some reason my boys have been the last in their classes to lose them. So now Jake looks like a first grader- even though he's in second! I remember a few years back when Jake tried to trick the tooth fairy by putting a shark's tooth under his pillow. No more of that needed- and he looks cuter than ever!!! (He even lisps).

Jake's Soccer- The Green Tsunamis!

Here are some pix from Jake's first official weekend of soccer. They had a jamboree. The weather was incredible. Jake got to play goalie a bunch. He made a few saves... truth be told they were just luck, as the ball just came straight at him, but that's OK.

First Day of School!

Jonathan started 7th grade this year and Jake 2nd. Jonathan's not too into having me take pix- plus he leaves so early it was still pretty dark, so don't have many of him. Neither boy is wild about school unfortunately... Jayden was soooo excited to go back to daycare- she was giddy! It was very cute. She really missed Melissa this summer!

Zoo- Again!

Jake, Jayden, and I went to the zoo on August 31st for one last hoorah! It was fun- esp. seeing the baby gorilla. Jake got to feed birds and loved that.
