Came across this pix of Jayden at Myrtle Beach in SC (a few summers ago). I look forward to going to Carolina all year! It's so relaxing and fun. My kids are soooo happy when we're there. When I was out shopping today, I saw little girl bathing suits out on the racks. Believe it or not, I refrained from buying one yet (truth be told, I saw a darling yellow suit that I would have bought had her size been available). Anyway, only 5 more months until vacation time! I can't wait! I pray that the whole divorce will be finalized and the house will be sold by then. I even look forward to my 40th birthday on August 3rd- a new decade w/o Jon there to drag me down!! Ahhhh- sounds good.
Jayden got a camera for Christmas and really enjoys it. It's pretty much indestructible, thank goodness! She took t to daycare for show and tell one Friday. Here's a few of her pix. She moves it as soon as she pushes the button, so we have hundreds of pix of our carpet. Good thing it's digital! It also does videos and has games on it. Pretty cool toy.
Jake saw this "Shooter" game at Target last week and REALLY wanted it- in fact, he NEEDED it... You know how that goes. I agreed it could be an early b-day gift. His birthday is February 5th. He is really interested in making his room into an arcade. We worked so hard doing a frog/ animal theme, and then he decides he'd prefer an arcade- ugh. Check out the spelling on his sign to keep people out of the shooter game area- don't think THIS kid of mine will make the spelling bee any time soon. Sure is cute seeing how he spells stuff, though. So phonetically. In case you're wondering, it says, "Sorry, the walk way is closed".
I can't begin to tell you how fun it has been to see the kids so happily playing with all their toys... the ones they could never find or spread out before. I love it! Jake, Jayden, and I have been playing a board game together almost every night- and we love it! Jonathan is so happy having his own space, too, and we are just enjoying the house so much more now- with all that stuff gone. We can "breathe" now!
