Preschool

My Little Ballerina!

And so this was about the cutest thing EVER to watch. I'd been dreaming of this day since the day she was born... and so it almost brought tears to my eyes to have it finally coming true! And then realizing how fast she's growing up was a little sad too...

Soccer- The "clingiest" girl on the field...

OK, so it didn't even dawn on me that she'd pull the "clingy, whiney, hang on mom card" at soccer today! After all, she played t-ball like a pro just 4 months ago... and now she's that much older and more independent... or not!!! Ugh... I was SO frustrated by the end. She scowled at anyone who tried to help/ talk to her. And she had been so excited to play, too! Oh well. She vows to do better next week... so time will tell! I didn't let her get a snack at the end... which we all know is the best part. She did manage to do the warm up activities- with me an inch away of course. Her team is lime green (pretty)- and they named themselves the Rattlesnakes. I thought she looked adorable in all her soccer gear! Notice she brought her stuffed tiger from the circus. Oh and she liked her new pink soccer ball, too!

Circus

Woo Hoo!!! Jayden and I had a girls night out at the circus on Friday night! We got there early and saw the animals. Then we found our seats (after a stuffed tiger and cotton candy..) and enjoyed the show! Her favorite part was the doggie tricks. She loves dogs- stuffed or real!!! She and I were both tired, but still had a lot of fun together! I liked the elephants best. I remembered to bring the light-up toy that Jake and Maddie gave us, so she was excited to have that, too! I am grateful that she is still young enough to want to do fun events with me! On the way out she said something like, "Thank you momma. That was FUN!" - which of course I loved!!! I work hard with her on manners- but don't always get the result I want. But tonight it was great!!! She fell asleep on the way home (rare for her) and slept through the night.

Hobbies

These pictures show how I often see my kids... playing the electric guitar, playing Legos, and playing Webkinz or EPets on the computer.

Rainforest Cafe

Here we are at the Rainforest Cafe. Jake got grilled cheese and fries and Jayden got dino chicken and carrots (her choice over fries- weird, huh). I got some Mexican dish which was really good. They also got the icee drink cups of course!!! I got Jake a rainforest frog for his room (stuffed) which was super cute and just reminded me of his room/ him. We then walked around the mall and got Mariner tickets and cotton candy (and coffee so i could stay awake on the long drive home.) Fun day!!!

Zoo

I took Jake and Jayden to the zoo over Labor Day weekend. Our pass expires soon, so I wanted to get in another visit before it does. Jake wanted to feed the birds- his favorite part. Jayden liked the penguin exhibit- and the nocturnal animal area, too. She also liked "getting a toy" (a little stuffed lion) in the gift shop (yes I am a sucker...) We had a fun visit and then I decided to take them to the Rainforest Cafe for an extra special treat- to which Jake gasped, hugged me, and told me I'm the best mom in the whole wide world (which of course I am...)!!!
