We joined Carowinds again this year and went about 10 times while we were in Carolina. Jonathan, Jake H., and Maddie love the scary roller coasters. Too bad Jake and Maddie are not quite tall enough to go on all the coasters yet. And now that I have closterphobia (sp?) issues, I can't go on with Jonathan either. My Jake mostly wants to swim- though he did do the Scooby ride this year- and ended up loving it! Jayden loves the kiddie-ride area and swimming. The big kids are old enough to go off on their own for a few rides and then meet up with us at a designated spot, which is nice. My favorite part is watching the kids have fun AND the funnel cake. Num! Jake and Jayden would literally lick the powdered sugar off the entire plate when we'd got one! At least we'd get our money's worth because they were NOT cheap! ($6.99 each?). On one of our last visits, Jake and Jayden got their face painted and a characature sketch of themselves. Jonathan won Maddie a stuffed frog (by shooting hoops), Jacob a stuffed polar bear, and Jayden a stuffed turtle. He wanted to win himself a huge blow-up Duke ball, but it would have been too hard to get back on the plane (and didn't deflate). So... I gave him cash instead (because it cost money to play each game- and he was just winning for everyone else).
